One morning at 9:00 a.m., a couple of days before his passing away, the Swami [Swami Ramakrishnananda] was lying down with closed eyes. His attendant was silently seated nearby. All of a sudden Swami Ramakrishnananda got up and told the attendant: ‘The Master, Mother, and Swamiji have come. Please offer them an asana.’ The attendant was dumbfounded. Again the swami repeated: ‘Can’t you see? The Master has come. Spread the carpet and set three bolsters.’ The attendant followed his order. Swami Ramakrishnananda with folded hands bowed down thrice, and then watched something unseen, without blinking. After a while, he said: ‘They left. Now take away the carpet and bolsters.’
