When the seer beholds the self-luminous Creator, the Lord, the Purusha, the progenitor of Brahma, then he, the wise seer, shakes off good and evil, becomes stainless and reaches the supreme unity.
Commentary:
When this seer, the individual soul, beholds this glorious, luminous, radiant, Universal bird nearby—which is really the ruler, the originator, the controller of all things, which is the seat of Brahman itself, the Supreme Purusha, Mahapurusha, Purushottama—then the knower of this Universal bird sheds all the effects of punya and papa, merit and demerit. Freed from contact with the effects of good and bad deeds, one attains equality with the Universal. The moment we are conscious of the Universal, we have become one with the Universal.
Here, in this case, knowledge is the same as being. In ordinary life, knowledge is not being. If we know there is a lot of money in a bank, it does not follow that we possess that money. In ordinary life, knowledge is not power, and it is also not being. But here, knowledge is at the same time power and being. The being of the object is, at once, the being of the knowledge of that object. The knower of Brahman becomes Brahman. Universal equality is attained by the consciousness of there being such a thing called Universality. Therefore, we have to awaken ourselves to the consciousness of our true nature, which is Universal existence, and not this body-mind complex.
Vision of Brahmayoni
At one time when Swami Vivekananda would sit for meditation, a large, luminous, multicoloured triangle would spontaneously appear before him. This triangle appeared to be living. One day he went to Dakshineswar and told the Master about it. The latter said: “Very good! You have seen the Brahmayoni [the source of creation]. During my sadhana under the bel tree, I also saw this. It was bringing forth innumerable worlds at every moment.” (Source: Sri Ramakrishna and His Divine Play)

It was during the practice of Tantra under the guidance of the Brahmani that Sri Ramakrishna’s Kundalini was awakened. He himself described it in his unique way, ‘Something rises with a tingling sensation from the feet to the head. So long as it does not reach the brain I remain conscious, but tho moment it does so, I am dead to the outside world.. .The very distinction between “I” and “Thou” vanishes.
‘When the mind reaches this point between the eyebrows one catches a vision of the Paramatman and falls into Samadhi. Only a thin transparent veil intervenes between the Jiva and the Paramatman.’
Piercing through the veil, Sri Ramakrishna reached the Mother in Her transcendental Brahman aspect, and later on came down and saw the same Mother manifest everywhere.
During this Tantrika sadhana Sri Ramakrishna once saw the ultimate cause of the Universe as a large luminous triangle which was giving birth every moment to an infinite number of universes.
He had another symbolic vision. He saw one day an exquisitely beautiful woman woman rising from the waters, approaching with solemn steps the grounds of the temple. Then he saw that she was with child. She brought forth the baby and nursed it with the utmost tenderness. A moment later, however, she assumed a terrible aspect, put the child into her grim jaws, crushed and swallowed it, and then vanished into the river. This is symbolical of Kali-the Saguna Brahman-who projects the Universe, maintains it, dissolves it and finally withdraws the whole thing into Herself. (Source: Vedanta Kesari Feb 1953)
Sri Ramakrishna Says —
RAKHAL (tenderly): “Please speak to God that He may preserve your body some time more.”
MASTER: “That depends on God’s will.”
NARENDRA: “Your will and God’s will have become one.”
Sri Ramakrishna remains silent. He appears to be thinking about something.
MASTER (to Narendra, Rakhal, and the others): “And nothing will happen if I speak to God. Now I see that I and the Mother have become one. For fear of her sister-in-law, Radha said to Krishna, ‘Please dwell in my heart.’ But when, later on; she became very eager for a vision of Krishna — so eager that her heart pined and panted for her Beloved — He would not come out.” ……………..
MASTER (to Narendra and the others): “There are two persons in this. One, the Divine Mother—”
He pauses. The devotees eagerly look at him to hear what he will say next.
MASTER: “Yes, one is She. And the other is Her devotee. It is the devotee who broke his arm, and it is the devotee who is now ill. Do you understand?” (Source: Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna)
