Another time Vijnanananda asked Swamiji, “Well, does the Master accept the food which we offer in the shrine?” “Yes, he does,” replied Swamiji. “A ray comes out from his third eye and touches the food. If you want, I can show it to you today in the shrine.” Vijnanananda fully believed what Swamiji had said, and proceeded no further. (Source: God Lived with Them)
Once a monk in Koalpara said to Holy Mother, “I offer food to the Master, but I don’t know whether he accepts it or not.”
The Mother emphatically replied: “Surely he does eat it, my son. If you offer the food to the Master wholeheartedly, he will eat it.” (Source: Sri Sarada Devi and Her Divine Play)
Earlier in his sadhana, while offering food to the Mother, the Master would see a flashing ray of light emanate from the Mother’s eyes, touch the offered food articles, gather their essence, and then withdraw back into Her eyes. But now as soon as he offered food, and sometimes even before that, he would see the Mother Herself seated to eat the food, the luster of Her body pervading the whole temple.
